From low yielding vineyards in and around Barolo, this Langhe Nebbiolo is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques. It has a lovely fragrance of bright cherry and wild strawberry, mixed with some sous bois notes. In the mouth it's well structured, ripe and very zingy, with mouthwatering acidity, soft, appealing red fruits, and some floral overtones. The wooden frame isn't too overt but definitely makes itself known, so this is best enjoyed with a ragu or tomato-based pasta dish.
