Vermentino di Sardegna

Medium

Cork

White

A pitch-perfect Vermentino that offers up a nicely savoury nose with suggestions of pears and vegetable stock, the fruit for this wine comes from Sulcis in the southwest of Sardinia and spends a brief period in oak to round it out and add complexity. Peach and pear fruit flow gently across the palate, which has a distinctive and delicious celery salt note. Textured yet refreshing, it's an impressive rendition of the variety; a natural match with fish, but roast chicken is also a surprisingly happy partner.
