From Salina, one of the volcanic Aeolian islands just north of Sicily, this stunning wine from Antonino Caravaglio dazzles with kaleidoscopic aromas of honey, olive, sea spray and apricot, while the palate is defined by mild skin contact with mouthfilling flavours of flat peach, camomile and a hint of orange marmalade. Made from the rare and ancient Malvasia di Lipari variety, it sees 10 days of skin contact – just enough to add a whisper of teasing tannin. With every sip you can almost feel the breeze of a turquoise sea, the dry rustle of the wind through the olive trees and the sun on your skin.
