Nero d'Avola has a reputation for being big and jammy, but Tasca d'Almerita has gone in the opposite direction with this bottling by focusing on fruit grown at elevations of 450m-800m, where aromatic detail and freshness are preserved. Vinified in steel and aged in mainly older oak for a year, Lamuri is a distinctly perfumed and floral wine with silky tannins. Polished and pretty with aromas of bay leaf and fresh blackberries picked from the hedgerow, this is a wine that will show best after 30 minutes chilling down in the fridge.
