From the beginning, 2015 was a very wet vintage that required extra hours in the fields. Summer was unusual, with some rainfall during August and hailstorms hitting the northern slopes of the volcano. Wines from this vintage are aromatic, with great elegance but less body. ‘I'm a man of perfumes; I love the nose of this wine,’ says De Grazia as we taste. The aromas are delicate but intense, showing an exciting mix of fruit and herbal salinity. The flavours are balanced with inviting fruity and nutty aromas and fresh mineral acidity. It opens up on the mid-palate with a creamy structure combined with orange zest, smoky notes and pretty tones of pomegranate and peach.
