From old-vine Chardonnay in the hamlet of Penon, hand-picked and lees-aged for 55 months, it arrives with sheer confidence. Just-ripe white peach and nectarine lead the aromatics, followed by a subtle flicker of tropical fruit, quince, and ginger, with notes of warm challah bread emerging through the palate. The texture is creamy yet tightly drawn, shaped by altitude and cool mountain air, with a clean, saline mineral edge that drives the fine, persistent mousse. A wine of altitude with energy and attitude.
