In the southern commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga, Borgo Scopeto's vineyards sit between 360 to 450 metres above sea level. 

A selection of grapes from the estate's best situated parcels, this Gran Selezione is fresh and lifted on the nose. Currants and tarragon repeat on the palate, where discreet vanilla and cocoa nuances also emerge. It's rather light and moderate in its complexity and drinks more like a Riserva. Enjoyable over the next five years.
