Some wines have the ability to transport well beyond the glass. Salita does just that. I imagine being barefoot in the kitchen with a pomodoro sauce simmering and the door wide open to the warm breeze. Scents of tarragon, sage, mint and sundried tomato waft evocatively. The palate is equally endowed with lusciously ripe red cherry, sweet garden herbs and dusty terracotta. Plump though never heavy, this encapsulates the munificence of summer. Quenching acidity and sandpapery tannins are well entrenched. Very moreish.
