Banfi's Chianti Classico property is fairly new to their stable - they purchased the virtually abandoned Fonte alla Selva vineyard in 2011. With no Merlot this vintage, the 2017 sees just a short time in wood. 

It's fresh and youthful though not especially exuberant or complex, with ripe black and red berries gracing the nose and palate. Very contained and straightforward, it will make for easy near-term drinking.
