From grapes grown around the castle in Montalcino, this blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Syrah has a plummy, herbal scent with dark berries and some peppery spice. In the mouth it displays rich, concentrated red and black berries on a textured palate, with subtle tannins providing structure, then a finish of sweet spices, liquorice and a touch of herb and violet. Vinified in Banfi's hybrid tanks and aged for up to 24 months in 350L French oak barriques and large casks.
