Dark and deep in the glass, this displays ultra-polished aromas of confit blackberries, Modica chocolate and damp earth alongside alluring hints of eucalyptus, dried herbs and a floral touch. The imposing tannins just need a little more time to melt into the voluptuous core of dark fruits, which is perfectly calibrated by refreshing blood orange touches. Savoury and balsamic echoes further enliven the progression, making for a deceptively light, almost airy finish. A blend of Petit Verdot (60%) and Cabernet Sauvignon aged for approximately 24 months in a mix of tonneaux and barrels. Production amounted to 5,000 bottles in this vintage.
