Planted at the end of the 1990s, Il Solatìo is a steep, impossibly stony site reaching almost 600m above sea level. It has been bottled separately since 2006. Never a powerhouse, it charms with consistent gracefulness. The 2022 is true to character with a perfumed nose extending a profusion of sweet herbs and almond blossom. Forest strawberry and perky raspberry line the lithesome palate. Fine-boned though not delicate, this remains steadily poised and a bit more resilient than usual.
