Referencing more than 1,000 years of the castle’s existence, Millenio is a small selection made from 36ha. A concentrated nose of dark brambly berries, eucalyptus and mocha surges from the glass. Correspondingly dense and robust, the palate centres around ripe blackberry and dark cherry. Round, smooth and glycerol in texture, it is packed with sweet, yielding tannins which grip steadily on the finish. The mighty Antinori family has recently taken over management of this historic estate from both a viticultural and winemaking perspective.
