Vinified and then aged in cement tanks, with one-quarter of Sangiovese in the blend, you'd expect a lighter, fresher style of Bolgheri Rosso, however in the hot and dry 2022, the richness of the Merlot takes centre stage. Bold, curranty fruit aromas with some balsamic herbs and violets introduce a palate of overripe dark fruits with an almost cloying sweet quality at the core. Finishes a bit short.
