In the area of Pietrose, Talosa’s south-facing vineyards spread over an open, luminous slope rising from 350 to 400 metres. The warmth is apparent in the 2020 but it is well harnessed. Black cherry and dark plum are interlaced with nutmeg and sage, the layers of youthful fruit hemmed in by chalky tannins. Well extracted, it demonstrates more polish that the 2019 bottling. Energetic acidity brings levity and space, countering density, and there are even some mineral and violet notes tucked in there.
