Focused on precision rather than intensity, unveiling a subdued, refined nose of bitter orange zest, crunchy blackberries and iron, with smoky and woody undertones. The palate is more expansive, offering a fine line of blood orange acidity intertwined with sour cherry, balsamic herbs, and a darker earthy nuance. Seamless but impactful tannins accompany a firm, ferrous and savoury finish. From a single plot with soils rich in marine fossils and limestone, lying at 200 metres above sea level, Ceppatella rests for about 30 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
