The first ever Terre di Pisa DOC wine from this winery, lying in the closest part of the appellation to the coast, is a deep ruby coloured, barrel-aged Sangiovese-based red offering intense aromas of stewed cherries and scorched earth with a vanillin and menthol frame. A lick of sweet oak enriches a bold and creamy – if slightly monolithic – palate with a solid core of chocolate-infused red fruits, mild acids, and powdery tannins that linger on a medium-long, spicy and balsamic finish.
