An energising, vital Sangiovese with a lightness of touch that is the defining character to all of Baraldo's wines. This wine is effortless to drink. Tamed yet taut Sangiovese tannins add charge and vigour, while cranberry, cherry, blood orange and bay leaf aromas translate directly to the palate. Thoughtful and subtle. Baraldo worked for Domaine le Montille in Burgundy before starting his own project in San Casciano dei Bagni in 2009. Uniquely, the grapes for this wine are fermented among the vineyard rows, with around 50% whole-cluster fruit.
