Intense and structural, this 100% Merlot is spicy and balsamic. Chocolate-infused red and black berry aromas introduce a lifted and poised palate of dark black and blue fruits with floral overtones. There's a streak of red fruit, and flecks of Mediterranean scrub. Overall fresh and lively, but just a bit drying on the finish at this early stage – it really deserves time in the cellar to allow the oak to integrate and tannins to soften.
