Gran Selezione

Querceto di Castellina's Gran Selezione comes from their Belvedere Vineyard, which was planted in 2003. It totals 6.6ha and is planted at a density of 6,666 vines per hectare. The wine is naturally called 'Sei', which is Italian for six. 

This is very top-heavy with oak aromas and flavours - hopefully this will integrate time. There's clearly polish here along with beautifully ripe fruit and it would be nice to see this shine.
