A great job in 2016. Located in the southernmost part of the appellation, higher in altitude, this wine shows meaty notes on the nose with straw and precise plum fruit in depth, most likely from the Merlot component. 

There's ambitious extraction on the palate yet outstanding balance between alcohol and acidity suggests it will keep it for a while. Full and large, it's a great example of the quality of the vintage.
