Uno is Sangiovese in purezza, sourced from the estate's best plots in Radda in Chianti. The grapes are vinified with a proportion of whole-bunch in cement and open vats, with a long maceration. The wine then matures for 18 months in a mix of cement, stainless steel and tonneaux. The result is promising yet doesn't quite deliver its full potential. Slightly funky wild red berry aromas introduce a silky textured palate of soft, ripe red and black cherries, showing good concentration and fresh acidity. Needs time but will be worth the wait.
