Mimesi is Ghizzano's experimental all-Sangiovese bottling which spends 14 months in cocciopesto amphorae, producing just 1,500 bottles. Spicy red and black cherries mingle with a hint of petrichor and dried herbs. Dry and textural, it has a sapid, streamlined bramble fruit character with a sweet vein of strawberry and cherry, and hints of iron, earth and black tea underlined by silky tannins and bright, tangy acidity. Very gastronomic, enjoy this with grilled meats.
