A structured and refined Cabernet-based blend from Sasso di Fata or ‘stone of the fairies’, a small estate vineyard planted on chalky slate soils—aromas of bay leaf, eucalyptus, white pepper and juniper mask notes of subtle red fruits. The palate is extraordinary; minerality comes to the fore with crushed stone and graphite notes. There are lovely, savoury herbal notes of wild dill, rose hips, fresh anise, dark chocolate, and mint. The fruit is subtle and fresh. Red and black bramble fruits dance among the wine's well-built tannin structure. This will age well for at least another decade and is lovely now.
