This is 100% Cabernet Franc from 400m-450m vineyards just 8km from the sea. It has been 70% in new oak for 18 months. The aromas are incredibly seductive, blueberry fruit, cherry liqueur, dusty leaves, cedar, pine needles, forest floor, white pepper, raspberry leaf and tomato leaf. The palate is delicious, dark chocolate abounds, and chocolate-covered cherries, dusty chewy tannins but they soften quite quickly and make this very drinkable even at this young age. It will age well into the mid-term.
