Sette Ponti's flagship wine is grown on stony galestro rich in clay. It's twice-blended: once into new French oak barriques then again after first racking. It combines cedary notes with hedgerow fruits, underbrush, some dried fruits and a touch of black tea. Superb, minerally acidity outlines fine, integrated tannins and a smooth, velvety texture, with muscular, chocolatey red and black fruits and an undertow of cassis. A touch of minty freshness and some dried herbs on the mid-palate lead to a long, structured finish with a touch of spice.
