A hand-harvested Grenache, or Gamay Trasimeno, is the last fruit picked from old vine blocks for the reserve bottling. Aged one year in oak and concrete, this is a bigger, broad-shouldered version of the Gamay Trasimeno. It shows elegance, but it's also rich and opulent. Luxardo cherries and clove accompany sweet raisin aromas. The palate is rich, darkly fruited with baking chocolate and a savoury umami character of turned earth—a wine of intensity and concentration.
