From a historic producer with old vines in the deep clays of the coastal zone, this is starting to show the first hints of maturity in the aniseed and lemon rind nose, which has touches of bracken and wet stone in the background. On the palate it is suavely round and concentrated, with ripe, grapey fruit and a hint of the typical salty tang of Lugana in the infinitely long finish. Drinking well now but will continue to evolve. Classic.
