This limited production Amarone is the fruit of a collaboration between Friuli-based organic winemakers Mont'Albano and the long-established Valpolicella producers, Sartori. The approach to vinification is low intervention: spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, extended maceration, and 30 months of ageing divided between cement vats and barriques. The result is a wine with a lightly spiced, earthy nose and a youthful, compact palate with plummy fruit, fine, firm tannins and bags of energy.
