Fear No Dark is boldly challenging winemaking conventions. A distinctly mineral Cabernet Sauvignon (95%), blended with the local Oseleta (5%) and planted in a shadowy parcel in the acclaimed Montevegro vineyard at 350m, the vines benefit from breezes coming from the Lessini mountains. Wonderfully fresh and aromatic, it bursts with bright berry fruit, a touch of cedar, earth and flickers of balsam. A marked toasty note is there too – no surprise given the 16 months spent in new French oak – while the tannins are soft and silky. Strawberries and wispy smoke linger on the finish.
