As the name 'Tomi no Oka', or 'Hill of beautiful climbing' suggests, the estate's own vineyards are located on the slopes where Mt Fuji is clearly in sight to the south. 15% aged in French oak barrels, this wine has a nose of pineapple, lemon and a hint of sweet spices, followed by a clean, saline palate of lime juice, decorated by candied orange rim and a nice grip of tannin. Bitter zest and sweet melon follows to the finish.
