Named after winemaker Mark Borg's mother, Yehudit is a blend of Sangiovese sourced from clay soils and Cabernet Sauvignon from Terra Rossa and clay, aged in used oak. These super-premium, rare bottlings (just 590 bottles of this wine were made) from the boutique garage winery command a cult following among connoisseurs in the know. Sour cherry and a mix of Mediterranean herbs, chocolate cream and delightful scents of forest floor. So juicy and elegant throughout, with bright acidity and well-polished ripe tannins. Dark berries and prune on a palate of generosity and purity. Hints of exotic herbs linger on a long finish. Ageing gracefully, yet still with years ahead.
