Aged for 20–22 months in all-new 500-litre French oak barrels with a medium toast, followed by six months of bottle ageing. Leather and savoury spices open to dark berries, sour mulberry and Mediterranean shrubs. Driven by Merlot, the wine has a savoury, harmonious palate with a creamy texture and touches of warmth on the finish. Blackcurrant and dark plum, with a still-youthful grip, but there's plenty of elegance, too. Moreish savoury notes and wild herbs on the finish.
