With its roots dating back to 1985 and now owned by the Antinori family, the Maltese estate's sundial motif hints at its sun-drenched southern Mediterranean location. Savoury shrubs, pencil shavings, dried tomato leaves, and dried dark and red berries. Splendid vibrancy, with red cherry and dried cranberry character. Robust grip and extraction, with coffee notes on the finish. Sealed with a long cork for ageing. Aged for 14 months in second-use barrels.
