From a small organic producer in Gibbston, this is aromatic with dark cherry, wild strawberry, violets and spice, alongside layers of savoury herbs that carry through to the palate. Quite a sleek wine with darker fruits on the palate, polished tannins and a little oak spice. There’s a touch of mineral lift beneath the fruit and moderate length. Made with 20% whole bunch, aged in oak for 10 months, 30% new, then left for 20 months in bottle before release.
