With spiced red fruits, milk chocolate and dried herbs, this is bright and inviting. Supple with vibrant acidity and satisfying freshness via a sappy line of tannins and acidity. Good flow across the palate and a long finish. Though this is pretty youthful and not super-complex, there are some nice layers and a sense that it will continue to develop nicely over the next few years. The Dicey name is a pioneering one in Central Otago having established Mt Difficulty Wines and numerous vineyards throughout the region. With Dicey (formerly Ceres), Matt Dicey makes the wine while brother James Dicey is the viticulturist. This single-vineyard wine is a contrasting pair with the darker, chewier Black Rabbit Vineyard.
