A welcoming perfumed embrace of ripe cherry, blueberry, cola, allspice, florals and milk chocolate. The palate is a little more subdued than the nose, with darker fruits, spice and mocha notes. Very fine-textured with fruit, tannins and acidity deftly woven together. Dry fine-grained tannins on the finish, fairly long. Has that lovely Bannockburn plushness on the mid-palate. Classic, well-made style. A limited release wine sourced solely from The Defiance Vineyard on Felton Road.
