A rich and fragrant wine, with lots of red fruit and cinnamon spice, a touch of bacon fat and earth. The palate is earthy with red/black fruits, dark chocolate and spice, juicy acidity and polished tannins, plus some fine French oak on the finish. Good concentration and length; this is a bolder style made with finesse and harmony. The savoury, mellow cellar release 2014 vintage suggests good things to come for this wine too. The Kerruish family live on their vineyard, named for the evocative weathered mountain range that sits behind their tiny organically farmed Bendigo Vineyard, planted in 2003.
