Made from some of the first Pinot Noir vines planted in Central Otago in 1983, which are dry-farmed. Gentle smokiness frames red cherry and berry on the nose. The palate has a quiet yet aromatically intense depth that expresses the redcurrant and cranberry tartness and brightness of Gibbston perfectly. Not a showy wine, but a quietly convincing one with beautiful length.
