The result is a seamlessly textured wine with no hard edges in sight. The flavours are unadulterated and intriguing: herbal notes sit alongside Christmas spices, dark cherries and orange peel. This wine seduces you on the palate and then surprises you with its abundant yet resolved tannins. Combined with bags of mouthwatering acidity, it makes for a deeply appetising finish. Drink now if you like, but this will continue to be delicious for at least another decade.
