This juicy Pinot Noir was grown on the morainic gravels of Mount Maude in Wanaka, mixed with schist and clay at 350m-400m altitude, and brings with it a breezy, fragrant freshness and much élan. The scented nature of the wine is helped along by 100% whole bunch fermentation that initially highlights red, tart berry fruit and then verges into Ceylon tea leaf with edges of mace and vanilla. These aromas also frame the absolutely juicy body which transports all the brightness and freshness of altitude. The freshness, in turn, underlines the silky weave of tannins. Absolutely pure and fresh.
