A small-batch single-vineyard wine from the Pisa subregion, this is an organically farmed site planted in 1993. Fruit was previously incorporated into the estate bottling (formerly as Akarua) but this is the second release as one of Mora’s Single Site Series from its best vineyards in Pisa and Bannockburn. Expressive, bright red cherry cola, raspberry, cranberry and spice; the fruit is seductive, but there’s an attractive deeper savoury line too. A fine traceline of tannins, with good depth and richness across mid-palate; finishes with admirable focus and length.
