A special bottling from selected rows in the middle of the organically farmed Trig Hill Vineyard in Bendigo, this is a medley of three clones which spends 20 months in French oak, a third of which is new. Savoury, subtle dark brambly fruits, wood spice, mushroom, soft soy and spice; this is clearly intended to be a ‘serious’ style but the winery has been careful to retain good elegance and silky berry and plum fruit. Very fine tannins, savoury and mellow, this is in a good place for drinking now.
