Capturing Bendigo’s inherent power in an elegant frame, the nose offers florals, rosehip, dark berry fruit, plum and graphite with spicy lift from the 35% whole-bunch component. Finely structured with good build, smooth and creamy with earthy undertones and a gentle chew of tannin. Good depth and presence, there’s a sense of polish without being overworked. Balances Bendigo richness with Valli’s trademark precision. Valli has produced a single-vineyard Bendigo wine since 2010, but this is its second vintage off the younger vines of an elevated, 310m Lakefront Terrace vineyard.
