From one of Central Otago's highest vineyards, a tiny plot at 482m altitude planted on schist rock in 2003 and 2004 on the south bank of the Kawarau River in the Gibbston Valley. The name refers to the archaic expression for beautiful Irish girls, in honour of Alan Brady's daughters. Aromatic, dark cherry blends with white pepper and rain-wet rose hedge on the nose and makes this most perfumed. The palate has this same savour, all tinging and shimmering around a central shaft of red-fruited acidity that channels both cherry and summer pudding. This very gently extracted wine is tender, ripe and translucent with just a veil of smoke and a slight caress of tannins on the bright finish.
