Lovely aromatics: perfumed apricot, light biscuit, honeysuckle and jasmine, a touch of honey and ginger – plenty of layers but complex rather than heady. Dry, textural palate. Quite fine texture with an appealingly vinous character. Very nicely made with a good sense of harmony and balance. From the coastal Te Awanga vineyards. Fermented in seasoned oak, on full lees for 10 months in barrel then a further six months on light lees in tank.
