I have tasted this single-vineyard wine a number of times since its first release, and its vigour and energy never fails to impress. The weather was dry and warm until late March, with heavy rain and strong winds in April. The vintage yielded very clean crops with good colour and flavour depth. It's a remarkable wine for its age, with subtle primary fruit flavours complemented by appealing savoury development. It's still very much alive, deep in colour with a brick edge. At or slightly past full maturity.
