The hottest vintage - and the second driest - for a decade. It was an easy vintage without pressure thanks to a lengthy period of warm, dry weather. The resulting wine has pronounced ripe blackberry, cassis, vanilla and red rose flavours, gently restrained by bright acidity and fine, ripe tannins. Rich and weighty, it's an attractive and quite youthful wine that would clearly benefit from more bottle age.
