Generalising from a very small set, it looks like Gimblett Gravels could be an ideal origin for Tempranillo in New Zealand, keeping it fresh, but ensuring ripeness. There's over a year in French and American oak reflected in the wine, but its dark succulence, with blueberry and dark cherry fruit, and notes of liquorice and mocha,  lessens the layering of oak.
