Yields were down in 2006, producing small berries with good concentration. The resulting wine, now 12 years' old, has a mulchy character of asparagus and hay scents with rich caramel and nut. A pointed, peppery attack mellows to a broad, soft nougat and hay, with a zesty acidity extending onto a long finish. A plumper style than 2010, and should work really nicely with goats' cheese.
